Sustainability & CSR Awards 2025

SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd (“SAMEE”) has been recognised as Company of the Year (Aerospace & Equipment) ESG Leadership Award at the prestigious Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025. In addition, its CEO, Mr. Ng Boon Keat, received the Asia Sustainability Personality Award (ESG Leadership), in honour of his outstanding personal commitment to championing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts in the local community.

This marks SAMEE’s first recognition as Company of the Year under the Aerospace & Equipment category. The dual accolades highlight the Group’s continued progress in ESG performance, which includes its recent inclusion in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index.

Underscoring its long-term commitment to inclusive education, the Group also presented a mock cheque of RM200,000 at the event, representing an expansion of its SAM Titian Harapan initiative, SAMEE’s flagship education-focused CSR programme. The sponsorship supports both school-level and diploma students, aiming to nurture future-ready talent and break cycles of disadvantage through targeted, long-term intervention.

Ng Boon Keat’s recognition as Asia Sustainability Personality further underscores the role of leadership in embedding sustainability into the heart of business operations. His active support and advocacy for charitable programmes, internal engagement, and ESG integration have positioned SAMEE as a leading example of responsible corporate citizenship in the region. These recognitions and ongoing efforts reflect SAMEE’s overarching goal to drive sustainable value creation; not just through operational excellence, but through conscious, community-driven action.
